About the Role
Process Pro Consulting is seeking a strategic and technically skilled Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain systems that drive client growth. You will act as a technical implementation partner, translating business needs into scalable automation strategies within and around HubSpot.
Responsibilities
- Designing, building, and optimizing HubSpot automations using workflows, custom-coded actions, APIs, serverless functions, CRM cards, and internal apps (Node.js and Python).
- Building and maintaining integrations between HubSpot and third-party systems via REST APIs, middleware, or custom scripts.
- Developing internal HubSpot apps, CRM cards, and extensions to enhance client portals and user experience.
- Automating data clean-up, property resets, normalization logic, and cross-platform syncs.
- Supporting subscription logic, deal automation, lead routing, lifecycle stage updates, and complex CRM schemas.
- Partnering with Consultants and Solutions Architects to scope, plan, and deliver scalable technical solutions.
- Acting as technical lead on multiple client projects, often for clients without in-house technical resources.
- Contributing to planning and scoping.
- Joining client calls for technical context.
- Navigating creative solutions for HubSpot limitations.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience building advanced, scalable automations in HubSpot (Professional or Enterprise tiers).
- Proficient in JavaScript and Python for HubSpot custom-coded actions and serverless functions.
- Experience integrating HubSpot with third-party tools and middleware via REST APIs, webhooks, and platforms like Make, Google Apps Script, Zapier, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with process flow tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Miro).
- Strong grasp of system architecture, data modeling, and CRM structure.
- Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Skilled at technical delivery: joining discovery calls, translating requirements into technical specs, and shipping clean, well-documented code.
- Proven ability to turn complex client needs into reliable, scalable technical solutions.
- Proactive problem-solver who anticipates edge cases and builds fallback handling, error logging, and rollback strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong prioritization and project communication skills.
- Working knowledge across multiple operational areas (RevOps, Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Customer Service).
- Familiarity with core RevOps processes.
- Familiarity with RevOps KPIs and reporting needs.
