About the Role
The DX Solutions Engineering Team at Atlassian is seeking a Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer to drive the growth of the DX product. You will be the solution expert throughout the sales cycle, solving complex business problems for Commercial/Midmarket prospects using our products and helping to close deals.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical evaluations, including Proof-of-Concepts (POCs) and Pilots, in partnership with Account Executives.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand client needs, engineering workflows, and goals.
- Ask detailed questions to uncover information about clients' engineering processes, branching strategies, deployment workflows, and existing tooling.
- Design and propose tailored technical solutions for API integration with client workflows.
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance on deployment methodologies and analytics integrations.
- Capture and synthesize prospect feedback to inform product enhancements and roadmap priorities.
Requirements
- Exposure to programming (Ruby/Rails preferred) with a solid understanding of APIs and RESTful services.
- Experience with version control systems like Git and the GitHub CLI.
- Familiarity with SQL.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, deployment workflows, and branching strategies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with extensive experience leading high-stakes client discussions and product demonstrations.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value.
- Strong organizational skills to manage technical follow-ups and resource delivery across multiple active opportunities.
