About the Role
CVS Health Digital is seeking a Staff Software Development Engineer to build a next-generation platform, focusing on delivering use cases into products that help people live healthier lives. This role involves creating Proof of Concepts, driving delivery excellence, partnering with business leaders, resolving complex issues, and enhancing system performance within the digital ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Create Proof of Concepts to improve projects addressing customer challenges.
- Closely work with a team of engineers to drive delivery excellence.
- Partner with business and other IT leaders to build digital assets.
- Provide expert-level support to resolve complex issues and provide RCA.
- Identify gaps in the current digital ecosystem and provide solutions to enhance overall performance.
- Leverage expertise to design and implement efficient and scalable solutions.
- Contribute to solution design and architecture discussions.
- Provide input on technical feasibility, performance optimization, and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Communicate and coordinate with team members for alignment and decision-making.
- Contribute to the adoption of best practices, new technologies, and tools.
- Participate in knowledge sharing activities.
- Implement complex features and enhance existing functionality.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software design environment.
- 5+ years of Java development experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud initiatives and solutions.
- 5+ years of designing and developing modern microservices and cost-effective APIs.
- 3+ years of experience working on CI/CD Pipeline automation.
- 3+ years of experience working in an Agile-based development environment.
- 2+ years of Agentic AI / Generative AI experience.
