About the Role
Upstate Niagara Cooperative, a dairy cooperative owned by local family farms, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support sustainable farming and deliver fresh, local dairy. This role is crucial for maintaining high-speed processing and packaging equipment in a 24/7 facility.
Responsibilities
- Repair and troubleshoot high-speed processing/packaging equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on systems and utilities.
- Install systems and utilities.
- Ensure line efficiency goals are met.
- Troubleshoot and correct issues utilizing industrial electrical 480V, AC/DC theory, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, mechanical maintenance, motors, digital electronics, print reading, control circuits, power supplies, power distribution, test instruments, and computers.
- Support production requirements with an understanding of operational urgency.
- Ensure safe operating practices for self and others.
- Utilize established preventative maintenance programs to maintain operating systems.
- Repair and replace defective parts.
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments.
- Repair electrical instrumentation and control equipment.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operators, demonstrating good communication skills.
- Perform boiler operation and ammonia-related tasks (a plus).
- Complete Maintenance Skills Evaluation.
Requirements
- Must meet minimum of twelfth grade level in math and reading.
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

Experience Level
- One year related mechanical maintenance experience and/or training
Education Level
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
Salary/Compensations
- $31.50–$41.50 per hour
