About the Role
We’re looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist excited to lead full-cycle recruitment, attract, assess, and secure top talent. You’ll shape Crown’s talent strategy, create an exceptional experience for candidates and hiring managers, and elevate our employer brand. You thrive on using market insights, data, and best practices to refine recruitment processes, improve hiring outcomes, and support long-term retention. Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment from intake and sourcing through to offer and hire.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand role requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies using multiple channels to build and maintain talent pipelines.
- Manage internal and external job postings, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business needs.
- Guide hiring managers and interview panels on interviewing techniques and candidate evaluation.
- Oversee pre-employment checks, including references, background, and credit checks.
- Prepare and present competitive offer packages and support negotiation.
- Champion a positive, professional, and inclusive candidate experience.
- Communicate clearly and regularly with candidates, providing timely updates and feedback.
- Maintain accurate candidate and requisition data in the HRIS.
- Support the implementation and optimization of HR modules related to recruitment and onboarding.
- Travel to Crown offices, buildings, and work sites as needed for recruitment activities.
- Coordinate the transition from candidate to new hire, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience.
- Support new hire orientation activities and materials.
- Collaborate to continuously improve onboarding processes and new hire engagement.
- Monitor and report on recruitment KPIs using dashboards and HRIS/ATS reporting tools.
- Identify trends and bottlenecks in the recruitment process and recommend improvements.
- Conduct ongoing market research, including salary benchmarks and talent availability.
- Provide quarterly recruitment and vacancy reports, with insights and recommendations.
- Ensure all recruitment and selection activities comply with company policies and legislation.
- Collaborate to develop and maintain recruitment and employer branding content.
- Act as an ambassador for Crown’s culture and values in external interactions.
- Represent Crown at career fairs, on-campus events, and industry networking functions.
- Develop, coordinate, and enhance Crown’s internship, co-op, and student programs.
- Establish and maintain relationships with universities, colleges, and professional associations.
- Work with internal stakeholders to identify student and entry-level opportunities.
Requirements
- University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources Management required.
- CHRP designation, or currently pursuing, considered an asset.
- Experience in real estate, property management, or a related industry strongly preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources with a strong focus on full-cycle recruitment and talent acquisition.
- Strong understanding of Canadian employment legislation and recruitment best practices.
- Experience working with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems; familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is an asset.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
