About the Role
Stantec's Upstate New York Transportation group seeks talented, team-focused Civil Engineer EITs with 0+ years of experience in specialty areas including roadway/highway design, traffic control & construction staging design, right-of-way engineering, access design, and utility engineering for our Albany, NY office. This role offers the opportunity to challenge yourself professionally on diverse transportation projects, learn, and grow your career in a team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Use knowledge of general engineering concepts to support transportation system projects (highways, streets, drainage, utilities, traffic signals, roadway lighting).
- Perform basic calculations to analyze and design engineering system components using company and manufacturer software.
- Assist in preparing engineering designs, drawings, specifications, presentations, and reports.
- Gather information to support design decisions.
- Assist in interpreting and verifying compliance with applicable codes and engineering standards.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines under the direction of a senior engineer.
- Provide construction support services, including submittal reviews and responses to requests for information.
- Perform field work related to construction activities as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by senior engineering staff.
