About the Role
The Junior Database Administrator will support MySQL databases, Linux servers, and AWS infrastructure for high-volume gaming platforms while working alongside senior engineers.
Responsibilities
- Assist with administration and maintenance of MySQL databases.
- Monitor database health, performance, and availability.
- Perform backups, restores, and disaster recovery tasks.
- Support MySQL replication and database patching.
- Troubleshoot database performance issues.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Security teams.
- Participate in production support and on-call rotation after training.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 2 to 4 years of database administration experience.
- Knowledge of MySQL and SQL.
- Basic Linux (Red Hat/CentOS) knowledge.
- Understanding of backup/recovery, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting.
- Comfortable working on a hybrid basis at the office 3 days per week.
