About the Role

The Manager, Leadership & Legacy Giving will focus on growing SickKids Foundation's mid-level giving program, managing relationships with donors contributing $10,000 to $99,999 annually. This role involves developing and managing sustainable revenue through various gift types, integrating legacy giving, and enhancing donor engagement and support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of Leadership & Legacy Giving donors and prospects with the capacity to make a gift of $10,000 – $99,999.00 annually, encouraging multi-year pledge commitments and legacy giving asks.
  • Project manage the creation, execution, and deployment of Stewardship and Solicitation pieces in collaboration with brand and creative teams.
  • Develop donor strategy and complete donor interaction calls to cultivate, solicit, steward, and provide ongoing relationship management.
  • Develop written donor proposals, engaging Foundation and Hospital for Sick Children stakeholders where necessary.
  • Support and integrate strategies for securing recurring revenue and cultivating increased support, while integrating legacy giving strategies.
  • Develop a network of contacts interested in advancing the mission and success of SickKids Foundation and The Hospital for Sick Children.
  • Leverage programs being led across the Foundation to engage diverse donor communities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Foundation (Marketing, Development, Business Intelligence and Information Technology, Operations) to advance donor relationships.

Requirements

  • Certificate or bachelor’s degree, with a focus in fundraising, marketing, sales, business or other applicable disciplines.
  • 5+ years experience in fundraising.
  • Track record of soliciting and closing gifts at the $10,000 – $100,000 level, with the ability to build new and long-term relationships.
  • Capability to analyze, interpret data, and build strategic recommendations and action plans.
  • Experience with customer retention management systems and data management systems (e.g. Blackbaud CRM, Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce).
  • Gift Planning experience will be considered an asset.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and multi-task.
  • Creative, resourceful, cost-efficient and intuitively driven.
  • The ability to think strategically and work independently, but also a team player.
  • Superior verbal, written and storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills detailed oriented, with strong follow through.
