About the Role

Serve as the finance business partner for select business units within DAI’s Capital Markets Group (CMG), partnering with senior business leaders to solve complex financial problems and translate financial data into actionable business decisions. This role requires a commercially aware finance professional who can provide rigor, urgency, and precision in a complex multi-entity environment, explaining financial performance, its drivers, and implications.

Responsibilities

  • Own FP&A for select business units, including leading variance analysis for month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
  • Act as the primary finance contact for business unit leadership, resolving issues within scope and driving resolution for those outside scope.
  • Prioritize and respond quickly to urgent business needs.
  • Proactively partner with business unit leaders and finance leadership to translate financial performance into insights and actions.
  • Build and maintain financial models for business planning, scenario analysis, and investment decisions.
  • Prepare variance commentary linking financial results to business drivers, root causes, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Support month-end close execution by validating accruals, journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, and account analysis.
  • Contribute to board reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and narrative discipline.
  • Manage multiple concurrent priorities, including deadlines, requests, model builds, and reporting packages, while triaging effectively under pressure.
  • Independently source answers and structure issues in ambiguous situations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressive finance experience, ideally in FP&A, corporate finance, or a finance business partner role.
  • Strong technical understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and business performance management.
  • Prior exposure to capital markets, financial services, and/or data services.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Hands-on experience with an enterprise ERP platform, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or a comparable system.
  • Experience working with reporting, BI, or planning tools such as Power BI, an EPM platform such as Planful, or comparable systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive issues to resolution across functions through ownership or influence.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to operational and executive audiences.
  • Ability to work on-site in New York 3 days per week, and as needed for key meetings.
  • Periodic travel to Corporate Headquarters in the Greater Dallas Area.
