About the Role
McDougall Energy is seeking a Fleet Maintenance Advisor to join their fleet maintenance management team within the Fleet and Distribution department. This role provides technical support for fleet maintenance across various operations locations and acts as a subject matter expert for internal staff on heavy truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for the maintenance of heavy, medium duty, and light duty vehicles to operations locations.
- Act as a subject matter expert for advising internal staff on heavy truck maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Interact with third-party repair shops on behalf of internal staff.
- Convey company standards and expectations for repair and documentation.
- Monitor compliance with inspections and maintenance standards at internal locations.
- Perform costing reviews and validation of billing.
- Assist with adherence to regulatory compliance items and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Travel routinely to visit operating hubs and service providers to maintain business relationships and monitor vehicle condition.
Requirements
- Specific understanding of heavy truck and trailer maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Previous experience as a Truck and Coach (310T) Technician or related field is an asset.
- Fuel handling experience is a major asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance software and documentation systems.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adjust to changing business needs.
