About the Role
Support day-to-day operations across claims management, reporting, and insurance program administration, with a primary focus on Workers’ Compensation and secondary support for Property, Subrogation, and Commercial Auto claims. This role offers broader exposure to risk management, trend identification, outcome improvement, and risk mitigation within a growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with HelloFresh’s claims TPA to manage claims effectively, improve outcomes, and control claim severity.
- Monitor active Workers’ Compensation claims throughout their lifecycle, including adjuster and site follow-ups, aging claims, and outstanding action items.
- Build, maintain, and validate claims dashboards and reports; analyze loss data to identify trends, emerging risks, and root causes, and partner with internal stakeholders on action plans.
- Track Return-to-Work progress and compliance-related activities, including audit support and system updates.
- Support subrogation and recovery efforts by tracking opportunities, following up on outstanding items, and maintaining documentation.
- Assist with escalated claims involving complex investigations, litigation, significant injuries, or high-risk exposures.
- Partner with the Legal team and external defense counsel to manage and support litigation matters, including claim strategy, documentation, and case coordination.
- Support insurance program renewals through exposure data collection, analysis, and preparation of supporting information.
- Review claim files and collaborate with TPAs on reserve adequacy, claim strategy, and recommended next steps.
- Partner cross-functionally with internal teams to gather documentation, resolve issues, and facilitate timely claim handling.
- Participate in meetings with insurance carriers, brokers, and TPAs to monitor claims, address issues, and support program execution.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes, improve reporting, and enhance claims workflows.
- Support additional claims, insurance, and risk management initiatives as needed.
Requirements
- 3-4 years of workers’ compensation claims experience (TPA/carrier adjuster or corporate risk management).
- Strong Excel and data skills.
- Familiarity with TPA workflows, loss run analysis, and claim lifecycle management.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple active claims simultaneously.
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs with a flexible approach to shifting priorities, processes, and responsibilities.
- Proactive communicator who can work independently and flag issues without prompting.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma with qualifying experience considered.
