About the Role
Our team of engineers, at all levels, work with business leaders to define the product roadmap and create innovative solutions for the future of travel. We design and develop backend systems and REST APIs that handle hundreds of millions of searches daily, processing data from thousands of partners to secure the best deals for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Participate in critical projects with direct impact on the evolution of Priceline's business.
- Be part of a cross-functional agile team that continuously experiments, iterates, and delivers on new product objectives.
- Showcase development skills in Core Java or similar programming languages.
- Apply programming skills to build low latency, high throughput transactional services with continuous integration and automated testing.
- Implement SQL composition skills for real-time data collection and querying for investigation and analysis from applications.
- Utilize knowledge of codebase, systems, and business requirements to effectively make changes to applications.
- Collaborate effectively in team efforts, advocate for optimal solutions, and engage in respectful discussion and compromise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering and development.
- Coding experience with Core Java or similar programming languages.
- Thorough SQL composition skills for composing queries and analysis.
- Comfort and experience with Spring Frameworks, Web Services, and APIs.
- Established and proven expertise with server-side Javascript and Node.js.
- Influential use of Git and Gitflow.
- Experience in Microservices, Kubernetes, Dockers is a big positive.
- Experience with developing on Cloud, especially GCP and AWS.
- Illustrated history of living the values necessary to Priceline: Customer, Innovation, Team, Accountability, and Trust.
- Unquestionable integrity and ethics are essential.

- $130,000 - $160,000 USD
