About the Role
As a Data Architect, you will act as a trusted advisor to our customers, leveraging your deep technical expertise in data governance, cataloguing, data quality and data infrastructure to guide them through Informatica and MuleSoft solutions. You will support the customer enterprise architects and domain architects to build an Architectural Vision and to-be Architecture for Digital and Data Transformation, with a clear positioning of the value of Informatica and MuleSoft in this vision. You will also help persuade senior IT executives (CTO, CIO, Head of digital, and others) to adopt this vision to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging deep technical expertise in data governance, cataloguing, data quality, and data infrastructure.
- Guide customers through Informatica and MuleSoft solutions.
- Work closely with Account Executives, Solution Engineers, and C-level leaders throughout the end-to-end sales cycle.
- Use strong presentation and solutioning skills to navigate complex accounts.
- Align technical and architectural requirements with customer business drivers, strategy, and funding.
- Qualify opportunities and ensure customers realize the platform's full value.
- Support customer enterprise architects and domain architects to build an Architectural Vision and to-be Architecture for Digital and Data Transformation.
- Clearly position the value of Informatica and MuleSoft within the architectural vision.
- Persuade senior IT executives to adopt the architectural vision to achieve their goals.
- Complete onboarding and pair with senior teammates on customer opportunities.
- Get certified on core Data Foundation products.
- Lead architectural discussions with customers.
- Deliver architecture presentations tailored to client's technical requirements and audience.
- Work alongside Client Solution Engineers on strategic opportunities.
- Lead high-level architectural workshops with C-suite executives.
- Architect tailored Proofs of Concept (PoCs).
- Create thought leadership material.
- Support public events.
- Mentor incoming team members on best practices.
Requirements
- Proven ability to analyze complex customer challenges and architect innovative Data solutions.
- Guide critical architectural discussions around data foundations—advising stakeholders on data governance, cataloguing, and data quality tools—to design accessible, trustworthy architectures and foster continuous platform adoption by identifying new business use cases.
- Strong experience partnering collaboratively with Sales and Solutions Engineering teams during the sales process.
- Provide crucial architectural guidance to support the creation of compelling demos that clearly illustrate immediate ROI and practical application for diverse stakeholders.
- Expertise in orchestrating inclusive, targeted technical workshops to guide key decisions and align architectural best practices with the customer's core business priorities.
- A track record of producing clear architectural diagrams and best-practice documentation.
- Actively share knowledge on emerging AI trends and Data innovations to empower both internal teams and customers.
- Ability to travel as needed (up to a maximum of 30% of the time) across the UK and Ireland region.
