About the Role
Fuse is an AI-first energy company focused on making energy abundant and affordable. We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our London team, playing a key role in supporting commercial, corporate, and regulatory workstreams during rapid expansion. This is an opportunity to join an ambitious startup at the forefront of the energy transition and help shape the legal foundations of a new kind of energy company.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate MSAs, product order forms, and supplier/customer/technology agreements.
- Flag risks early and land practical, business-friendly solutions.
- Translate legal and regulatory requirements into clear guidance for new product lines.
- Research regulatory requirements and use them to develop product specs.
- Review designs end-to-end to ensure they are launch-ready and compliant.
- Provide day-to-day advice to Operations, Finance, Trading, and Product.
- Turn complex issues into simple decisions and help teams move fast with confidence.
- Support UK and cross-border compliance, coordinate filings and regulatory submissions.
- Maintain policies, registers, and training so everything is inspection-ready without roadblocking the business.
- Create and refine templates, clause libraries, playbooks, and best practices.
- Streamline workflows and automate the routine so the team can focus on the high-impact work.
Requirements
- Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction)
- 2–7 years of post-qualification experience, ideally with a mix of law firm and in-house exposure
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple projects
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Enthusiasm for renewable energy, decentralisation, and technology-driven change
