About the Role

Ariel Alternatives is seeking a motivated Pre-MBA Associate to support the private equity investment process, including executing new deals, implementing value creation strategies, and developing investment theses. Responsibilities

  • Support efforts to evaluate potential investment opportunities.
  • Conduct business diligence, financial analyses, market research, and strategic assessments.
  • Collaborate on due diligence, manage third-party vendors and lenders, and support investment committee memos.
  • Monitor and report on portfolio companies, supporting add-on acquisitions and operational initiatives.
  • Contribute to developing marketing materials for stakeholders.
  • Assist with developing new investment thesis areas and sourcing opportunities.
  • Foster a cooperative and inclusive work environment as a supportive team member and project manager.

Requirements

  • High performer with 2+ years in investment banking or private equity.
  • Bachelor’s degree demonstrating superior academic performance; all majors considered.
  • Must read and adhere to all compliance policies and procedures.
  • Must work with colleagues to resolve compliance issues.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong grounding in modeling, accounting, finance, capital markets, and quantitative analysis.
  • Proficiency in analyzing, interpreting, and distilling complex data sets and models.
  • Solid understanding of debt and equity capital structures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

Salary/Compensations

  • $135,000 - $135,000 + Bonus
