About the Role
User Rights is dedicated to protecting fundamental rights on social media. We support individuals in enforcing their rights when content is wrongly blocked or prohibited content is not removed. As Germany's first independent dispute resolution body for social media platforms, we actively shape the legal framework of the digital space, contributing to the protection of fundamental rights and democracy online.
Responsibilities
- Independently decide on disputes: Evaluate legally complex complaint procedures under the Digital Services Act, develop solutions, and draft reasoned arbitration proposals.
- Legal assessment: Decisions consider national law, EU law, various national and European fundamental rights, and other relevant legal areas.
- Collaborate with a highly qualified team: Work with lawyers, tech experts, and international partners on innovative procedures.
- Develop and apply proprietary technologies: Utilize a unique platform that efficiently combines the entire procedural process with legal analysis and decision-making.
Requirements
- Successfully completed first or second state examination in law.
- Profound interest in digital fundamental rights, platform regulation, and international media law.
- Analytical thinking, diligence, and strong communication skills.
- Very good German (C2) and excellent English and/or French (minimum C1).
