About the Role
The City of Sydney has an exciting opportunity for a motivated person to join our friendly and professional Work Health and Safety Team. In this role, you’ll provide injury management, health and wellbeing, rehabilitation and return to work services to achieve optimal return to work outcomes for our employees, with a strong focus on psychosocial factors that may impact recovery and work participation.
Responsibilities
- Provide injury management, health and wellbeing, rehabilitation and return to work services.
- Achieve optimal return to work outcomes for employees.
- Apply best practice principles and legislation to injury management.
- Focus on psychosocial factors impacting recovery and work participation.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications and accreditation/registration in an allied health discipline (e.g. Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology or related).
- 2-3 years minimum experience in workplace rehabilitation and return to work case management in a worker’s compensation environment.
- Experience managing both psychological and physical injury claims.
- Ability to apply a psychosocial approach to injury management.
- Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and complex cases with professionalism and sound judgement.
- Must complete a pre-employment health declaration, medical assessment and criminal history check.

- $129,721 per annum plus superannuation
