About the Role
Transport Refrigeration Services is hiring a reliable and detail-oriented Parts Clerk to join our growing team in Johnstown, NY. If you’ve worked in a dealership or fleet maintenance setting, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Order parts from preferred vendors
- Create purchase orders and manage invoices
- Receive, stock, and organize parts inventory
- Maintain bin locations and inventory levels
- Conduct cycle counts and full inventory audits
- Support technicians by supplying necessary parts
- Handle parts returns, warranty claims, and slow-moving inventory
- Operate a forklift to load/unload parts
- Keep the parts department clean and organized
- Answer calls and deliver outstanding customer service
- Perform other shop support tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience with automotive or heavy-duty truck parts (dealership experience a plus)
- Forklift certified (or willing to obtain certification)
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid, clean driver’s license
- Willingness to travel for occasional training
- Professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail and a team-first mindset
