About the Role
The Area Manager (AM) oversees company sushi bars and Asian cuisine venues within local grocery stores and supermarkets. This role is responsible for employee recruiting, training, leadership, daily kiosk operations, data-driven decisions, food safety, customer service, and inventory management. The AM must effectively communicate and lead diverse teams while managing multiple responsibilities aligned with company goals.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site training and coaching in sales growth, daily operations, food safety, customer service, and inventory management using Yoobic, Power BI, Adoria, and HR systems.
- Review and analyze daily sales data to make informed business decisions and drive sales growth by kiosk location.
- Maintain company standards for food safety and product quality, collaborating with district and corporate teams.
- Conduct regular operational store visits and inspections to ensure standards are met and team member well-being.
- Recruit, train, and maintain team members to meet staffing expectations per kiosk location.
- Lead and inspire staff to be excellent leaders and team players, ensuring accurate HR system information for timely pay and benefits.
- Coordinate and maintain necessary permits and licenses in partnership with corporate teams.
- Represent the company brand professionally, fostering strong customer and business relationships through consistent communication.
- Enforce company-directed initiatives, operational policies, and procedures.
- Communicate the company's corporate mission, philosophy, and business operations, fostering optimism and confidence.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of food-related experience and/or operational business management.
- 3-5 years of team leadership experience, ensuring a safe and dependable workspace.
- Strong knowledge of food safety best practices and regulations, with the ability to identify non-compliance.
- Organized with keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to lead according to company standards and best practices.
- Goal-oriented and results-driven.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, squat, and use hands and arms to handle materials.
- Ability to work in environments with temperature variations, noise, and production activity.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions and maintain physical stamina.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle for work-related purposes, including travel between sites.
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
