About the Role
Sonar is seeking an Information Security professional to enhance customer trust by ensuring a top-tier security posture. This role involves shaping security and privacy communications, collaborating with various teams, and directly impacting business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage a process for answering security and technical questions from customers and internal users.
- Enhance and maintain the Trust Center to proactively answer customer questions.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, go-to-market, and Information Security teams.
- Translate complex technical and architectural details into clear responses for customers.
- Review customer contracts, MSAs, and DPAs.
- Provide feedback, redlining, and negotiation support on security clauses in partnership with Legal and Sales teams.
- Keep customer trust systems accurate and support a federated security approach.
- Drive improvements and add new capabilities to tooling.
- Develop and refine prompts and automated workflows using LLMs for security information systems.
Requirements
- Solid experience reviewing, redlining, and providing feedback on security clauses and technical language in customer contracts.
- Ability to bridge the gap between Legal, Sales, Engineering, and InfoSec.
- Ability to partner deeply with Engineering to validate technical details.
- Ability to explain complex security requirements in clear, simple business terms for non-technical peers.
- Comfort and experience working directly with senior leaders, especially a CISO.
- Ability to effectively communicate strategy, report on trust metrics, and give sound advice on risk.
- Deep experience across several security domains (e.g., GRC, Cloud Security, IAM, Application Security).
- Familiarity with common compliance frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Proven ability to use AI tools and create complex prompts to solve security problems and automate governance tasks.
- Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple high-stakes projects, audit reviews, and contract negotiations.
