About the Role
This position is responsible for assisting with the management of a portfolio of distressed and stressed assets to minimize losses to the Bank. The primary focus is to maximize recoveries and minimize losses of stressed and distressed loan and equity positions through restructuring efforts to bridge to an exit or turnaround.
Responsibilities
- Analyzes portfolio financials of stressed and distressed assets to create models for structuring workout strategies.
- Prepares and processes portfolio reviews, credit action applications, and upgrade/downgrade memos.
- Works closely with Team leaders in the development, implementation, and monitoring of restructured strategies.
- Assists team leaders with negotiations of amendments, waivers, restructuring proposals, and other necessary credit documentation.
- Maintains current knowledge of practices and regulations pertaining to the management of stressed and distressed portfolios.
- Performs due diligence to identify risks associated with credit actions.
- Interfaces across multiple internal business units to ensure timely, efficient, and compliant management and resolution of stressed and distressed portfolios.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Credit Training or Financial Modeling, valuation and credit OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Credit Training or Financial Modeling, valuation and credit.
