About the Role

As an IT contact person, you will build reliable and secure IT solutions for non-profit organizations, enabling them to focus on their mission. You will be a dedicated IT point of contact, making a difference with your expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Provide First & Second Level Support via Slack, Microsoft Teams, and E-Mail.
  • Analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement solutions or escalate effectively.
  • Ensure quick response times, maintain a friendly tone, and use clear language.
  • Recognize recurring issues and initiate improvements.
  • Perform password and MFA resets with proper identity verification.
  • Create and maintain user accounts, groups, and distribution lists in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Assign security groups and permissions based on the least privilege principle.
  • Manage and track licenses.
  • Set up, deliver, and collect devices for onboarding and offboarding.
  • Create and disable accounts, and revoke access securely.
  • Provide welcome packages and initial training for new client employees.
  • Ensure structured handovers to prevent tasks from being missed.
  • Triage and track hardware problems.
  • Package software and roll it out via Intune for Windows and macOS.
  • Deploy updates and patches, maintaining compliance.
  • Prepare Apple devices for use, including enrollment via Apple Business Manager.
  • Address mailbox and inbox issues.
  • Manage permissions, sharing, and structures in SharePoint, OneDrive, and Drive.
  • Set up Teams and Meet for new users.
  • Conduct user training sessions and provide on-site assistance.
  • Provide on-site support in Berlin for hardware delivery, training, and basic network issues.
  • Explain technical concepts clearly, even to non-technical individuals.
  • Document solutions in tickets.
  • Create short user guides for common tasks.
  • Identify recurring themes and contribute to developing standards.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (system integration) or comparable practical experience.
  • First professional experience is ideal, but recent graduates are also welcome.
  • Solid foundation in Microsoft 365 (users, groups, licenses, Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive).
  • Solid foundation in Apple macOS in an enterprise environment, ideally with Apple Business Manager.
  • Solid foundation in Windows Client & Server (Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS/DHCP, File Services).
  • Initial experience with Intune or a comparable MDM is a plus.
  • Proficient use of AI tools for faster solutions, understanding their application, and adhering to data privacy rules.
  • Very good German language skills (at least C1 level).
  • Good English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Valid Class B driver's license.
  • Patience and a friendly demeanor, even with repetitive requests.
  • Ability to explain technology clearly and understandably.
  • Willingness to learn and work diligently.
