About the Role

We are seeking an analyst to lead software market research, focusing on software architecture, AI software, and AI use cases. This role involves managing data programs in Japan, conducting research and analysis of vendors, products, and services, and delivering data-driven insights to clients.

Responsibilities

Planning and execution of research on software and writing research reports.
Conducting historical market estimates and forecasts for software market data products.
Researching the Japanese software solutions market, including Applications, Middleware, System Infrastructure Software with SaaS, PaaS, AI, etc.
Performing market forecasts, vendor share analysis, and user company demand surveys.
Conducting interviews with IT suppliers and user companies.
Performing quantitative research such as web surveys and secondary data research.
Business development of Software and AI related subscription and custom services.
Presenting at internal/external events regarding software/AI market and IDC's events.
Engaging in consulting projects.
Collaborating with global analysts for research and business development.
Establishing relationships with software and AI solution vendors.

Requirements

Working experience in software architect, development and implementation support, marketing, and/or business planning at IT vendors, system integrators, consulting firms, or software or AI providers.
Knowledge of software technologies, solutions, and markets.
Experience in selecting and implementing SaaS/PaaS at user companies, or planning and managing systems including cloud solutions.
Knowledge of cloud technologies and products.
Superior English conversation and e-mail communication (read and write).
Native level Japanese (reading, writing, and speaking).
Proficiency in Excel (pivot table creation/utilization skill), Word, and PowerPoint.
College graduate or above.
