About the Role

This position is responsible for carrying out equipment service, after-hours service, commissioning, and service contracts as planned and directed by management.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure service reports, expense claims, and other required reports are submitted by the due date.
  • Complete timesheets accurately, recording hours worked and all call-out/response times, and submit them by the due date.
  • Supply a Doctor’s Certificate for absences exceeding two days due to illness/injury.
  • Complete Field Service Reports for every service call, ensuring they are signed by the customer and detail all items used.
  • Perform commissioning, service contract maintenance, and after-hours service commitments professionally and efficiently.
  • Maintain positive customer relationships by promptly reporting complaints for remedial action.
  • Maintain competence through available training and personal updating to handle required technology.
  • Ensure company vehicle, personal dress, and appearance are presentable and professional.
  • Fill out Spare Parts Van stock requisitions when stock is required to maintain accurate records.
  • Be aware of sales and service opportunities and report them to management.
  • Inform the Sales Department of new sales opportunities and prospects, and collaborate to achieve business goals.
  • Comply with all Work, Health & Safety, Environment, and Quality obligations.
  • Actively promote safety in the workplace.

Requirements

  • A Driver's License is required.
  • Overnight or longer trips may be required.
  • Ability to work unaccompanied (Lone worker).
  • Availability for after-hours work and participation in an On-Call Roster.
  • Ability to attend customer Service calls.
  • Occasional use of ladders.
  • Ability to work in tight and restricted locations.
  • Ability to work on and around Energized Electrical equipment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and relocate equipment and components (e.g., Batteries, tools, spare parts).
