About the Role

Join Vocca as our Founding Head of Sales to build, lead, and scale our US revenue engine from the ground up. This is a rare 0→1 leadership role where you will start hands-on, closing deals and learning the market, then grow into a leader who hires, coaches, and runs a world-class US sales organization. You will own the number, the team, the playbook, and the strategy, with the ambition to build a sales org capable of selling tens to hundreds of millions in revenue.

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead, and scale the US revenue engine from the ground up.
  • Start hands-on, closing deals alongside founding AEs to set the standard and learn the market.
  • Grow into a pure leader who hires, coaches, and runs a world-class US sales organization.
  • Own the number, the team, the playbook, and the strategy.
  • Become fluent in product, ICP, positioning, and the US buying process for healthcare groups.
  • Run discovery, demos, and close early deals yourself.
  • Diagnose what's working and what isn't in the current motion, and start shaping the US sales playbook.
  • Coordinate with Ops to onboard early US customers cleanly.
  • Personally drive pipeline and closing, turning wins into a repeatable, documented process.
  • Establish the fundamentals of a sales org: metrics, forecasting, pipeline reviews, CRM hygiene, and a clear definition of a qualified opportunity.
  • Define the hiring plan and start building the team.
  • Feed field insights back to Product and leadership.
  • Transition from player-coach to leader: hire, ramp, and coach a team of AEs and SDRs.
  • Own the US sales number end-to-end.
  • Codify the US sales playbook.
  • Build the systems for a scaling org: comp plans, territory design, enablement, and a repeatable hiring and onboarding engine.
  • Lead complex, multi-stakeholder deals for healthcare groups.
  • Set the team up to run complex deals without you.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with strong full-cycle closing.
  • Some experience leading, mentoring, or building a team (leadership experience is a strong plus).
  • Ability to build 0→1: process, playbook, hiring, forecasting, and culture with high autonomy and comfort in ambiguity.
  • Extreme ambition to build a sales organization that sells tens to hundreds of millions.
  • Extreme ownership, humility, and drive to build something meaningful.
  • Love being close to customers and turning feedback into execution.
  • Experience selling into and building teams selling to healthcare provider organizations (multi-site groups, MSOs, DSOs, health systems) or adjacent health tech is a strong plus.
  • Experience hiring, scaling, or leading a US sales team before is a strong plus.
  • Experience navigating security/compliance and integration stakeholders in complex deals is a strong plus.
  • Experience using tools like Attio, Notion, Slack, Apollo (or equivalent) is a strong plus.
  • Existing network in US healthcare operations is a strong plus.
