About the Role
As an Assistant to the Works Council, you will be the organizational hub for the committee, ensuring smooth meetings, adherence to deadlines, and effective communication among all parties involved. This is a temporary 12-month position.
Responsibilities
- Organize, prepare, and follow up on meetings, discussions, general assemblies, training sessions, workshops, and conferences.
- Assist with processing correspondence and managing deadlines with internal and external stakeholders.
- Take minutes during various meetings of the Works Council and its committees, and ensure structured follow-up and documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all Works Council members, receiving and reliably forwarding inquiries.
- Create presentations, reports, and decision papers for the committee.
- Manage deadlines, keeping track of all appointments, deadlines, and follow-up dates.
- Handle administrative tasks such as travel arrangements, invoice verification, and file maintenance.
Requirements
- First professional experience in an assistant or secretarial role, ideally with experience in committee work or Works Council structures.
- Enjoy working in a committee interface role.
- Ability for independent work and prioritization.
- Absolute discretion and trustworthiness in handling confidential and personal information.
- Organizational talent and a structured approach to work, especially with parallel projects and tasks.
- Knowledge of the Works Constitution Act (BetrVG) is a plus, but not required.
- Very good German language skills (written and spoken) are required.
- Good English language skills (B2 or better) are advantageous.
