About the Role
As a Linguistic Tester, you will review and refine localized German content, ensuring it is accurate, natural, and polished for end users. This involves checking for errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, formatting, and cultural accuracy. You will also execute test cases, identify localization bugs, report issues, and verify fixes. Occasional translation from English to German may be required. The role plays an important part in delivering a seamless user experience.
Responsibilities
- Write and report relevant bugs and errors using best practices through the internal database system.
- Understand and prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently.
- QA various products by accurately following testing instructions and test cases.
- Discover and report defects (bugs) using client-specific bug-tracking tools.
- Evaluate translations in the context of software, mobile apps, and documentation.
- Be a subject matter expert for linguistic issues in German (Germany); research and resolve linguistic questions.
- Adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, and client-preferred checklists and glossaries.
- Troubleshoot basic problems and escalate testing issues.
- Complete assigned tasks in a quality and timely manner.
Requirements
- Native-level German (Germany) fluency.
