About the Role

KCL (Key Customer Lead) is a department within Commercial responsible for leading Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and supporting the strategic execution of insight generation that guides the company's direction. KCL collaborates with Marketing, Sales, and other relevant teams in planning and executing Alexion's CSP (Commercial Speaker Program). Therefore, KCL members require teamwork, collaboration, and advanced professional knowledge, and are desired to be team players who thrive within Alexion's culture. KCL is a field-based senior position within the Commercial organization, reporting directly to the BU Head.

Responsibilities

  • Focus on building relationships with KOLs in the hematology/nephrology fields, training them as speakers, and developing them.
  • Lead the hematology/nephrology fields through CSP and other marketing initiatives by executing marketing and sales strategies.
  • Focus on building relationships with KOLs in the IgAN field, where efficacy is planned to be added, training them as speakers, and developing them.
  • Lead the IgAN field through CSP and marketing initiatives in collaboration with relevant departments.
  • Identify KOL profiles and influence mapping, create engagement plans for KOL development, manage progress, and propose CSP.
  • Propose the structure and core slides for speaker slide decks, support slide reviews, and lead speakers.
  • Gain insights into new knowledge and treatment changes in related disease areas that may influence marketing strategy.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and provide feedback to Marketing.
  • Train speakers and chairpersons, leading them to comply with Alexion's required rules during presentations.
  • Collaborate with field partners such as Medical Science Liaisons to mutually develop KOLs for common customers.

Requirements

  • Expertise in nephrology.
  • Strategic thinking.
  • High interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Objective analytical skills.
  • High level of English academic paper comprehension.
  • Skills in creating documents using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Project Management, such as CSP seminars.

Skills

  • Hematology/Nephrology experience (preferred)
  • Marketing or Sales experience in rare disease areas (preferred)
  • Marketing or Sales experience at the time of new product launch (preferred)
