About the Role
Join our dynamic Supply domain team as a pivotal technical leader, shaping strategic direction and driving innovative solutions. You will tackle diverse challenges, foster effective communication, and ensure the scalability and performance of our solutions while collaborating closely with talented individuals and reporting to the Engineering Director.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with domain leadership to drive co-creation of the domain's engineering strategy and ensure alignment with the product vision.
- Work closely with engineers to improve and own the Supply domain part of Vinted Marketplace.
- Collaborate with leadership to set best practices for software engineering.
- Act as a voice of the engineering team and a technical leader for initiating and supporting projects across the domain and the whole organisation.
- Create and maintain a technical roadmap for the domain, ensuring teams within the domain are involved in its execution.
- Collaborate with other domains on overarching deliverables and shared technical responsibilities.
- Collaborate with other developers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.
Requirements
- Proven track record as a technical engineering leader (Staff/Principal equivalent) with success in defining, leading, and delivering major, company-wide technical initiatives.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical goals to both internal and external audiences.
- Ability to drive a clear architectural vision by collaborating and iterating on software design.
- Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English.
- Willingness to take on new challenges and continuously grow as an engineer and leader.
- Experience with high-scale, distributed systems.
- Experience building and maintaining systems at a massive scale (e.g., handling 2+ million requests per minute).
- Deep knowledge of observability tools (Kibana, Grafana, Datadog).
- Passion for introducing new practices.
