About the Role

We are seeking a Marketing Operations Manager to manage and enhance the systems, processes, and data that support our marketing efforts. This role involves ensuring effective lead flow, accurate campaign measurement, seamless marketing technology integration, and reliable data for decision-making. You will collaborate with Marketing and Revenue Operations to translate business needs into scalable processes and automation, focusing on lead capture, routing, and marketing contribution measurement. A key aspect of this role is exploring and implementing AI solutions to improve processes, automate tasks, and enhance the effectiveness of go-to-market teams. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoys problem-solving and process improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Own the operational management of the lead lifecycle from initial engagement through MQL, sales engagement, opportunity and revenue.
  • Build and maintain lead scoring, qualification and routing processes.
  • Ensure lifecycle stages and contact statuses are consistently and accurately managed across our systems.
  • Monitor funnel performance and identify leads that are getting stuck, incorrectly routed or not being followed up.
  • Establish and monitor SLAs between Marketing and Sales.
  • Analyse conversion rates, speed-to-lead and funnel velocity.
  • Identify leakage within the funnel and work with Marketing and Sales to address it.
  • Build processes for lead recycling, remarketing and re-engagement.
  • Ensure inbound and outbound journeys are appropriately reflected in our systems and reporting.
  • Own the day-to-day administration and optimisation of our marketing automation platform.
  • Partner closely with Revenue Operations on Salesforce and the wider GTM technology stack.
  • Build and maintain workflows, automations, integrations and data flows between systems.
  • Troubleshoot system and data issues and identify their root cause.
  • Translate Marketing requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual processes through automation.
  • Explore and implement AI-powered workflows and solutions that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Marketing and GTM operations.
  • Use AI to accelerate analysis, identify patterns and surface actionable insights from our GTM data.
  • Evaluate where AI and automation can replace repetitive operational work while maintaining appropriate data quality and governance.
  • Test and QA new workflows before deployment.
  • Maintain clear documentation of key systems, processes and automations.
  • Support the evaluation and implementation of new marketing technology.
  • Own the operational governance of Salesforce Campaigns, including campaign structure, hierarchy, member statuses and naming conventions.
  • Ensure campaigns are correctly configured and synchronised across Salesforce and our marketing automation platform.
  • Support Marketing with campaign setup, tracking and measurement.
  • Own the operational processes supporting events, webinars and other marketing programmes.
  • Ensure campaign membership and engagement data flows correctly into Salesforce.
  • Maintain accurate UTM and source tracking.
  • Help develop and maintain our marketing attribution framework.
  • Improve our understanding of both marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline.
  • Identify and resolve attribution and tracking issues.
  • Ensure campaign data is structured in a way that enables reliable ROI and pipeline reporting.
  • Build and maintain dashboards covering MQL generation, conversion, pipeline contribution, campaign performance and funnel health.
  • Monitor key marketing operational KPIs and proactively flag areas of concern.
  • Analyse conversion between funnel stages and identify opportunities to improve performance.
  • Provide Marketing leadership with reliable reporting on campaign and channel effectiveness.
  • Partner with RevOps to ensure Marketing and Sales are working from consistent definitions and datasets.
  • Support analysis of marketing ROI and pipeline contribution.
  • Investigate discrepancies in reporting and resolve underlying data issues.
  • Use AI and automation to make analysis faster, identify trends and anomalies, and surface insights that might otherwise be missed.
  • Help move the organisation from reporting what happened to understanding why it happened and what we should do next.
  • Monitor and improve contact, account and campaign data quality.
  • Establish processes to prevent duplicates and incomplete or inconsistent records.
  • Define required fields and validation rules where appropriate.
  • Regularly audit marketing data and workflows.
  • Ensure data is synchronising correctly between platforms.
  • Work with RevOps to establish clear ownership and governance across GTM data.
  • Ensure the use of AI and automation is supported by appropriate data quality and governance.

Requirements

About the Company

  • You investigate before you fix.
  • You don't just patch a broken workflow — you want to understand why it broke and prevent it from happening again.
  • You care about data.
  • If two dashboards show different numbers, you need to understand why.
  • You automate.
  • If someone is repeatedly doing something manually, your instinct is to ask whether the system should be doing it instead.
  • You're AI curious.
  • You actively look for ways AI can make you and the wider team more effective. You're willing to experiment, but you also understand that AI needs reliable data, sensible processes and appropriate governance to be valuable.
  • You think end-to-end.
  • You understand that changing something in Marketing can have consequences for Sales, reporting, attribution and the CRM.
  • You take ownership.
  • You're comfortable taking a problem, working through ambiguity and driving it through to resolution.
  • You're commercially curious.
  • You don't see Marketing Operations as simply administering systems. You want to understand whether our processes are actually helping us generate and convert more pipeline.
