About the Role
Join HCF as a Senior Legal Counsel to provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice across corporate, commercial, privacy, consumer, and regulatory matters. You will oversee legal risk management, manage external legal providers, and ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. This role offers the chance to collaborate with senior stakeholders and contribute to a purpose-driven organization.
Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, including supplier, procurement, technology, data-sharing, and confidentiality agreements.
- Provide legal advice on privacy, consumer law, customer communications, and regulatory obligations.
- Review and advise on customer-facing materials, communications, marketing content, and business initiatives for legal and regulatory compliance.
- Support business stakeholders with pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice.
- Assist the Head of Legal and Compliance with governance, risk, and stakeholder reporting.
- Develop and deliver legal training to enhance compliance awareness and legal capability.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years' post-admission experience, ideally in both private practice and in-house environments.
- Ability to operate confidently at strategic and operational levels.
- Sound judgment and ability to manage complex legal and commercial issues.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and advise at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize, facilitate, and coach others.
