About the Role

This role involves sales activities for life science products, including analytical instruments and image analysis software related to confocal microscopes. You will manage key accounts and territories, oversee OEM and distributor relationships, and drive sales processes from prospecting to delivery. The position requires domestic travel and communication in English for product specifications and coordination with UK/US/German/Swiss-based development and manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct sales activities for life science products (analytical instruments and image analysis software for confocal microscopes).
  • Manage sales by key accounts or regional territories.
  • Manage OEMs (microscope and analytical instrument manufacturers) and distributors, and handle project management.
  • Develop new leads and build relationships within the assigned territory, while maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers.
  • Take responsibility for the entire sales process, from initial contact to technical review, negotiation, order placement, and delivery.
  • Resolve issues for existing customers through sales activities.
  • Input the latest sales status into the CRM system or sales inquiry management table.

Requirements

  • Multiple years of sales experience in scientific instruments, analytical instruments, or microscope-related products.
  • Product sales experience in the life science field.
  • Experience in channel management, such as with distributors, is desirable.
  • Proven track record of achieving targets, or strong motivation and execution ability.
  • Communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interpersonal relationship building, negotiation, and proactivity.
  • Basic business document creation skills.
  • Presentation skills.
  • English proficiency (TOEIC > 600 is desirable as a guideline).

  • Approximately 5 million to 9 million JPY (negotiable based on experience)
  • Monthly base salary: 350,000 to 700,000 JPY (negotiable based on experience and ability)

  • Bonus paid based on performance (company/individual) (20% of base annual salary if On Target)
