About the Role
Blackstone Private Wealth (BXPW) is seeking an Analyst/Associate to drive firm-wide fund onboarding as a project manager. This role involves setting up and ensuring operational services are delivered to clients and partners, providing daily client servicing, and conducting troubleshooting with minimal oversight.
Responsibilities
- Drive the firm-wide fund onboarding working group as a project manager for Blackstone open-ended and closed-end funds.
- Create, update, and maintain task trackers, distribute meeting summaries, and conduct offline follow-ups.
- Set up and ensure operational services are effectively delivered to clients and internal/external business partners.
- Provide daily client servicing primarily to Operational/Product oversight functions at distributors, local asset managers, and fund administrators.
- Interact closely with internal Business Units: Blackstone Private Wealth (BXPW); Private Equity; Credit; Hedge Funds; Life Science and Real Estate.
- Conduct daily troubleshooting with minimal oversight, while remaining well connected with the relevant teams.
- Plan and execute various projects and initiatives.
- Actively support team members to maintain the team’s high performance with a flexible mindset.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 1+ year(s) for Analyst, 4+ years for Associate of financial industry experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Strong technical and analytical skills.
- Strong problem analysis and resolution skills; identify and summarize issues.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with sound logical reasoning.
- Demonstrated performance at a high level within an entrepreneurial culture with a focus on excellence in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently.
- Highly driven and proactive to take initiative.
- Capacity to work independently on assigned pre-existing items in a team-oriented environment.
- Skill in developing strong working relationships with colleagues, teams, and clients.
- Adaptability to Systems, Tools, and Change.
- Process-Oriented, System-Aware Thinking.
Skills
- Fund/distributor onboarding experience is preferred.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Client services experience is preferred.
- Korean language skills are a plus.
- Understanding of fund structuring and operating models is desirable.
- Familiarity with fund documents is a plus.
- Knowledge of alternative investment is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Relevant local Financial Product Sales licenses are a plus.
