About the Role
Join ASX, a leading global securities exchange and trusted market operator, as part of the Futures Trading Technology team. You will build and support critical markets infrastructure for the ASX 24 Futures Exchange, ensuring a stable and efficient clearing and settlement facility for the derivatives trading business.
Responsibilities
- Build and support critical markets infrastructure for the ASX 24 Futures Exchange.
- Support vendor-developed and in-house developed trading software solutions in Linux environments.
- Perform build activities and provide L3 support during production incidents.
- Build automation tooling using shell scripting or Python/Perl programming languages.
- Troubleshoot server, network, or relational database related issues.
- Design and drive the adoption of standards, frameworks, and best practices within a data engineering practice.
- Perform Non-Functional testing in QA environments.
- Work in both On-Premises and Cloud environments.
Requirements
- Deep experience working in low latency, limited downtime Electronic Trading environments.
- Practical experience supporting complex Trading Systems in Linux environments.
- Experience writing Shell/Python/Perl scripts.
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals and troubleshooting skills.
- Good understanding of relational databases.
- Experience working in Public or Private Cloud environments with knowledge of Virtual computing concepts.
- Experience with Packet Capture tooling such as Corvill.
- Experience with Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
- Legally authorized to work in Australia on a permanent basis without restrictions.
