About the Role
Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s transformation into a mobility company through human-centric innovation. Our team specializes in developing and advancing cutting-edge Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) environments to accelerate the evolution of autonomous driving technology, focusing on improving processing speeds and enhancing development efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve the ClosedSILS environment, including enhancing simulation model accuracy, developing signal mapping techniques, evaluating vehicle control logic, and optimizing systems for faster processing.
- Develop and improve the OpenSILS environment, including technologies to accurately reproduce phenomena using real-world driving log data and designing methods to replicate load conditions and communication delays.
- Improve processing speed across both SIL environments by enhancing real-time performance and reducing computational loads.
- Strengthen overall system reliability by developing technologies to align virtual environment behaviors with real-world vehicle operations.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience implementing code in C or C++.
- At least 3 years of practical experience in automotive software development or simulation development.
- At least 3 years of practical experience working on medium-scale or larger product development projects.
- Practical experience working in both English and Japanese.
- Conversational proficiency in Japanese.
- Knowledge of simulation environments like ClosedSILS and OpenSILS, and constructing/utilizing feedback loops.
- Expertise in leveraging real-world log data for accurate modeling of operational conditions like load variance and processing delays.
- Understanding of computational optimization and parallel processing techniques for high-speed processing within SIL environments.
- Deep understanding of simulation models and a drive to enhance linkage precision between simulated signals and actual vehicle behavior.
