About the Role
We are seeking an Indirect Procurement Buyer to manage key indirect procurement categories across the UK & Ireland. This role involves collaborating with various business functions to deliver value through strategic sourcing, supplier management, and commercial negotiations, ensuring quality, service, and value while maintaining governance and compliance. You will support the implementation of global procurement strategies and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of indirect procurement categories, understanding business requirements and developing sourcing solutions.
- Support end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier identification, tender management, quotation analysis, commercial negotiations, and contract implementation.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, monitoring performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate contract and purchase order management.
- Support supplier onboarding, resolve procurement queries, and maintain accurate procurement data in SAP.
- Analyze spend data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
Requirements
- Experience in indirect procurement or purchasing, ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, or a commercial environment.
- Proven experience supporting sourcing projects, negotiating with suppliers, and managing procurement activities across various indirect spend categories.
- Ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong organizational skills, commercial awareness, and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of procurement principles, supplier relationship management, contract administration, and strategic sourcing methodologies is beneficial.
- Experience working across procurement categories such as HR, IT, Projects, Professional Services, or Facilities Management is advantageous.
