About the Role
The UI/UX Designer at OSF Digital is responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for e-commerce websites, combining UI and UX principles to deliver seamless and engaging user experiences within an international e-commerce team.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand user requirements and project goals.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs that effectively communicate the intended user experience.
- Design intuitive user interfaces that align with industry best practices and brand guidelines.
- Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to ensure consistency across products.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure the feasibility and implementation of designs.
- Conduct usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools to continuously improve design processes and deliverables.
- Communicate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and team members.
- Work with client and internal team during discovery to help define collect details and guide the project from a design point of view.
Requirements
- Good working knowledge of Figma including design systems, auto layout, variable etc.
- Proven experience of e-commerce design as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions.
Skills
- Strong visual design skills, with an eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate and design in Japanese & English.
- Strong understanding of designing for Japanese customers.
- Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of web and mobile design standards and trends.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Basic understanding of accessibility principles.
Education Level
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Interaction Design, or a related field is advantageous.
