About the Role
We are looking for a collaborative and autonomous Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will involve working across the business to drive process improvement initiatives within the Finance function, positively impacting our wider team and multi-entity organization. You will provide precise and timely financial, accounting, and broader financial support to Showpo, managing payment processing, expense oversight, payroll, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Execute payment runs and reconcile expenses, purchase orders, invoices, and statements to the general ledger.
- Calculate and process payroll transactions, ensuring compliance.
- Monthly lodgment of GST/IAS/BAS Activity Statements and support for international tax compliance.
- Financial statement preparation.
- Act as the key financial liaison with wholesale operations for accurate invoicing and efficient collections.
- Reconcile credit card transactions and follow up on receipts.
- Engage in data reconciliation related to inventory management.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor inquiries regarding payments and credits.
- Continuously improve the payments process by developing procedures and supporting the team.
- Identify and implement Xero app integrations and workflow automations to streamline payment cycles, expense management, and month-end reconciliations.
- Assist in multi-entity consolidation and maintain intercompany loan reconciliations across regional trading entities.
Requirements
- CA/CPA Qualified (or working towards)
- Previous experience in an Accounting role
- Excellent Excel and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work autonomously with a hands-on approach
