About the Role

MATTE is hiring a Senior Art Director to work directly with our Creative Director on ambitious creative work. This role is for a design-trained creative who can translate visions into finished work, possessing a strong point of view, extensive reference library, and high standards for craft.

Responsibilities

Conceptualize, lead deck design, build custom mockups, and source image swipe for luxury presentations.
Manage the visual aspects of shoots, including shot lists, production design, prop and set decoration, casting, and styling direction.
Evaluate photographers and directors, acting as a liaison between creative teams, clients, and production staff.
Oversee selects, retouching, color correction, and editing, ensuring adherence to delivery specifications.
Delegate tasks to graphic designers and utilize AI tools.
Create and oversee the production of all creative materials, ensuring timely and high-quality completion.
Collaborate with other departments to refine and develop client visions across all platforms.
Partner with strategists to develop creative solutions and ideas for clients.
Stay informed about the latest industry trends and techniques.
Work with client brand guidelines and manage projects from concept to production.
Maintain consistent, high-level visuals, standards, and specifications.
Coach design staff to optimize performance and ensure project quality.

Requirements

6+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an agency.
Experience in print and familiarity with experiential are a plus.
Proficiency in client relationship management and team management.
Strong work ethic and sense of project ownership.
Ability to lead and collaborate with design and copywriting teams.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Approachable, collaborative, results-oriented, problem-solver.
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
Experience in Copywriting.
