About the Role
In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert consulting, teaching, and support for electrophysiologists on the EnSite Mapping System and its appropriate application in the clinical setting.
- Serve as a technical leader, in the top 10% of all Abbott Clinical Employees.
- Drive business within their Area and mentor Principle and Senior Clinical Specialists.
- Provide consulting to customers on the complete EP product line.
- Collaborate with Area Vice Presidents and Regional Sales Directors to develop business at Strategic Accounts.
- Participate in the sales and marketing process, ensuring new accounts are established according to educational and in-service objectives.
- Encourage ongoing product utilization through in-lab support and consultation.
- Serve in a “Lead” capacity for other clinical employees in the region.
- Manage regional training budgets to ensure goals are accomplished through fiscal responsibility.
- Maximize revenue opportunity through consultative selling of EP products at Strategic Accounts.
- Develop and provide formal training and education to electrophysiologists and their staff on the use of the EnSite Mapping System, Claris Recording System, and Viewmate Ultrasound System.
- Demonstrate a thorough command of EnSite System related product and technical knowledge, including cardiac mapping, ablation techniques, anatomy, and clinical science.
- Provide expert clinical consultation on the use of our system to the EP and lab support staff.
- Coordinate all necessary logistics related to hospital training for new and existing accounts.
- Take a leadership role in employee development and positioning Abbott to gain share at strategic accounts.
- Initiate, develop, expand, and maintain excellent customer rapport and relationships.
- Initiate new training courses with a primary goal of a clinically based "consultative approach".
- Participate in on-site procedure observations to ensure new product launches and evaluations are successful, utilization is encouraged, technical knowledge is enhanced, and customer rapport is developed.
Requirements
- Masters or Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- IBHRE EP “Board Certified” or equivalency required.
- Minimum 10 years experience in cardiac electrophysiology.
- Experience mentoring or managing other employees.

Salary/Compensations
- $99,300.00 – $198,700.00
