About the Role
Kaizen is seeking a Filmmaker/Content Lead to establish and manage Kaizen Studio. This role will capture the company's work, tell the story of the team, and define Kaizen's presence across various audiences. It's an individual contributor position focused on driving creative efforts through video, including customer films, recruiting films, and founder pieces.
Responsibilities
- Build and run Kaizen Studio, setting the creative direction and visual identity.
- Produce cinematic customer films showcasing Kaizen's deployments.
- Shoot documentary-style footage of the team and their work.
- Run a recurring recruiting film series covering team events and culture.
- Produce founder pieces and launch content for new contracts.
- Own production end-to-end on lean shoots, including filming and editing.
- Direct and brief contractors on larger productions.
Requirements
- Experience producing and directing video solo or with a small crew, from concept to final edit.
- Demonstrated point of view on visual storytelling.
- Portfolio showcasing cinematic storytelling, documentary-style capture, and content for different audiences.
- Comfort working directly with founders to shape company stories.
- Experience briefing and directing contractors, holding their work to a creative standard.
- Good judgment on scoping shoots.
- Willingness to travel periodically to be embedded with the team on-site.
- Experience leveraging AI tooling for video production.
- Ability to eventually lead and grow an in-house team.
