About the Role
The Associate Market Development Manager for Biosciences is responsible for implementing Go-to-Market and demand generation plans for a consumables' portfolio within the Molecular Biology business unit. This role involves leading the development and execution of regional marketing plans to support the Bioscience sales team in a fast-paced market.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop tactical action plans that drive growth in key channels and customer segments.
- Develop and drive messaging and tools that communicate the value proposition to customers through multiple channels including sales teams, digital marketing, and distribution.
- Achieve sales and market goals for your portfolio.
- Perform and present detailed analyses & routine reports of business performance.
- Provide Voice-of-Customer and Voice-of-Sales feedback to optimize product positioning and strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field with 2+ years’ experience in a marketing role.
- Master’s degree in life sciences or experience in molecular biology labs, applications, or related-marketing role; MBA in marketing or business.
- Understands the customer value proposition and has experience in demand/lead generation strategies.
- Understands marketing planning and strategy; is familiar with life science research markets and competitors.
- Collaborates to work on problems of routine to diverse scope; influences cross-functional peer groups without direct authority; and identifies problems, answers questions, and gains participation of others to implement efficient solutions in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Has technical knowledge in molecular biology.
- Applies strong analytical skills to interpret business problems and identifies business needs from data.
- Provides strategic and tactical direction and expertise to the broader marketing team.
- Communicates to business partners with regularly oral and written messages updating key business metrics, successes, failures, standard methodologies, etc. to optimize strategies and tactics and achieve targets.
