About the Role
TGA of Southern Westchester is seeking a Youth Sports Instructor to teach foundational sports skills and life lessons to children ages 5-15. This role involves leading after-school programs and camps, designing drills, and motivating young athletes in a positive and safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach foundational skills in golf, tennis, and pickleball.
- Instill life lessons such as teamwork, sportsmanship, and a love for physical activity.
- Lead after-school programs and camps.
- Design fun and effective drills, games, and lessons.
- Use positive reinforcement to motivate children.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must pass a clean background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be comfortable communicating with children and parents.
Skills
- Energetic and enthusiastic.
- Ability to create a positive and safe environment for children.
- Excitement for teaching children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Previous experience working with children in a coaching, teaching, or mentoring capacity.
- Strong knowledge and skills in golf, tennis, and/or pickleball.
- Willingness to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Willingness to commit to at least one full season.
