About the Role
Right at Home is seeking experienced, professional DSWs to join our team and provide 1:1 client care in the Scarborough area. We offer comprehensive support services for individuals with physical, medical, or memory impairments, ensuring they receive flexible, professional, and relationship-oriented care in their homes.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and social stimulation
- Initiate and promote physical activity at any level
- Plan, prepare and serve meals, as needed
- Prompt client for personal care and assist if experienced
- Perform housekeeping duties such as sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, dusting, washing dishes, and laundry
- Accompany clients on outings such as doctor appointments or activities for mental and physical stimulation.
Requirements
- Must live in Canada, be local to the job opportunity, and eligible to work in Canada.
- Enjoy caring for seniors and children
- Has a good sense of humour
- Successfully complete a Criminal Background Check including Vulnerable Sector
- Current certification in Standard First Aid and CPR
