About the Role
The Company is currently searching for a motivated team player to join the exciting, fast growing company. You will be working in a team-based environment to support physicians in delivering excellent patient care. If you love helping people, this job is for you.
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative duties including answering calls, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, managing referrals, result management, and handling billing.
- Conduct lab duties such as collecting and preparing laboratory specimens, performing basic laboratory tests, disposing of contaminated supplies, and sterilizing medical instruments.
- Coordinate patient care, including check-in, prepping, escorting to exam rooms, preparing exam or treatment rooms, answering questions, providing post-appointment service, and monitoring the waiting room.
- Ensure patient information is kept confidential and secure at all times.
- Perform all other related clinical, administrative tasks or special tasks as required by clinic management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to be a team player.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Ability to analyze, problem-solve and take the initiative.
- Open and accountable.
- Ability to work varying shift patterns as needed by the clinic (including evenings and weekends).
- Experience as an MOA or MOA programs certification is an asset.
- Experience with EMR system OSCAR and a good understanding of MSP billing are assets.
