About the Role
Norm Law, the world’s first AI-native full-service law firm, is seeking inquisitive and energetic lawyers to practice law and augment their careers utilizing and contributing to cutting-edge legal AI tools. As an Associate in our Finance Practice, you will work on complex debt and debt-like financing transactions, leveraging exclusive access to sophisticated AI Agents developed by Norm AI software and legal engineers. This role allows you to focus on legal aspects, develop professional skills, and practice in a dynamic environment supported by bespoke technology.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and design the structure of financing transactions.
- Advise, document, and execute sophisticated financing solutions.
- Collaborate with other practice groups including Private Equity, Private Funds, Investment Companies, Real Estate, Capital Solutions, and Restructuring.
- Engage with Norm Ai's engineers to develop and perfect AI Agents.
- Learn the firm's AI platforms within 30 days.
- Advise clients on matters and workflows within 30 days.
- Independently use AI agents to review and generate transaction documentation and negotiations within 60 days.
- Lead workstreams across multiple secured financing matters within 90 days.
- Apply legal judgment and skills using Norm Ai technology to enhance quality, speed, and client service within 90 days.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent.
- Admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 3-6 years of experience in secured financing transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- No prior AI experience required.
Skills
- Curiosity and desire to practice law in a non-traditional setting.
- Ability to work and collaborate with software engineers.
- Willingness to contribute to the development of advanced legal AI Agentic technology.
