About the Role

The Showroom Operations & Merchandising Specialist ensures the showroom operates seamlessly and delivers an exceptional client experience. This role manages the day-to-day presentation and operational readiness of the showroom, including sample inventory, merchandising, client support, and event coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a welcoming and knowledgeable presence for clients visiting the showroom.
  • Maintain the overall organization, cleanliness, presentation, and operational readiness of the showroom.
  • Support incoming client requests by phone and in person.
  • Anticipate showroom needs and proactively identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Manage expenses for the showroom and region.
  • Own the organization and maintenance of the showroom sample library.
  • Monitor sample inventory and proactively order replenishment.
  • Manage sample returns, backorders, outgoing shipments, and excess inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and operational records.
  • Own the visual presentation and shoppability of the showroom.
  • Coordinate monthly new collection installations.
  • Continually assess showroom categories and displays to improve product flow and visual impact.
  • Maintain showroom signage, product tags, and other visual elements.
  • Partner closely with the sales team to support client outreach initiatives.
  • Develop familiarity with regional clients, product trends, and sales opportunities.
  • Support showroom and community events.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and other cross-functional partners.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in showroom operations, visual merchandising, retail operations, hospitality, interior design, luxury retail, or a similarly client-focused environment.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong visual sensibility and appreciation for interior design, color, pattern, materials, and product presentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of a physical environment and proactively identify what needs to be addressed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a polished, service-oriented approach.
  • Comfortable working with inventory systems, spreadsheets, order-management tools, and shipping systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams while independently managing day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements associated with maintaining and merchandising a showroom.
