About the Role
Whatnot is seeking intellectually curious, highly motivated individuals for a 12-16 week hybrid internship during Summer 2027. Interns will work in cross-functional teams, impacting platform direction and contributing to solving complex technical challenges. Projects may include building new live-stream features, implementing growth tactics, and developing scalable systems for a high-trust marketplace. The internship aims to provide experience in project ideation, management, and collaboration within a fast-growing marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Building new features for users in our live-streams
- Implementing growth tactics and strategies to scale our buyer and seller flows
- Building systems at scale that help us deliver a high trust marketplace experience
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in computer science or other related major graduating in Dec 2027 or by Summer 2028
- Problem solver and out-of-the-box thinker
- Willing to take risks and build product and systems for 1M+ users
- Ability to pick up on new technologies quickly
- Must live within commuting distance of our New York City or San Francisco hubs during the internship
