About the Role

The Activity Coordinator is responsible for developing and providing activity services, and will advise the Property Manager on the overall activity needs of the project and community.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct an ongoing schedule of established events and develop and implement new ideas for activities.
  • Plan and facilitate special events as appropriate.
  • Work with the management team to ensure minimum disruption and coverage of scheduled activities.
  • Compose and produce a monthly newsletter and distribute it to staff and residents by the deadline.
  • Create the monthly calendar of activities.
  • Post activity and information flyers, posters, and sign-ups in a timely manner.
  • Welcome all new residents and provide them with the current newsletter and orientation to site activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in activity service area or related field working with low-income families, youth, seniors, and disabled populations.
  • No on-site unit available.

  • Ability to work well with diverse and multi-lingual populations.
  • Conversational knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese is a plus.
