About the Role
This role is responsible for maintaining tenant satisfaction and energy conservation through the expert servicing and troubleshooting of HVAC systems in high-rise apartment buildings. The position involves regular preventative maintenance, monitoring automation systems, and overseeing HVAC-related projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain focus on tenant satisfaction and energy conservation
- Troubleshoot and service all aspects of HVAC in high-rise apartment buildings including boilers (HTG/DHW), chillers, heat pumps, MUA, RTU and HRV/ERV systems
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment
- Provide consistent monitoring of automation systems
- Willingness and ability to learn how to monitor and fine-tune buildings through our automation systems
- Oversee HVAC-related mechanical projects
- Maintain HVAC logs as required
- Regularly update knowledge and skills through employer-sponsored educational programs
- Comply with all safety code requirements
Requirements
- A satisfactory reference check is required
- Criminal records clearance is required
Skills
- Excellent HVAC troubleshooting skills
- Efficient time manager with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
- Strong work ethic with ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in-person, over the phone and via e-mail
Location
- Burlington Region (Etobicoke, Mississauga, Oakville portfolio)
Work Type
- 40 hours per week, plus on-call
Experience Level
- Relevant experience and qualifications
Education Level
- Gas Fitter License (G1) preferred
- G2 license considered
- Refrigeration license (313D or 313A) is an asset
Salary/Compensations
- $70,000 - $85,000
